Oh joy! There’s a hot, newish, social media app to wrap your head around. But you can’t just download it and join. You must be invited. Well played, Clubhouse, well played. Definitely piques the interest of those not wanting to suffer the scourge of FOMO.

I’ve had my fair share of repair people visit the house for the past two weeks. Luckily, I already had a trusted relationship with most of them. But who do you call if you don’t know a plumber, a roofer, an appliance repair guy, etc.? You can Google, “Plumbers near me” and you will notice, above the ads, Google Guaranteed service providers. Those are the ones you’re gonna call.

Do you know what your bounce rate is? If someone visits your site and then bounces, that means they leave without spending any time looking at additional pages on the website and interacting with them. They go to your homepage and then they bounce. This is the sole number on your Google Analytics that you don’t want to be high. The goal is to have people stick around and click on your other pages, checking out your content, product, shopping, etc.

I first heard about The Waste Less Shop last year. My cousin had visited the store and shared her adventure on Instagram stories, which I watched with intrigue. I happened to run into my cousin that same day and asked her about it as I was very curious. She explained that it is a place you can go to purchase eco-friendly products for your home and personal care. You can bring your own containers or purchase containers from them, helping to reduce plastic waste.

I just listened to my favorite podcast, The Science of Social Media. The opening line stated that, “As of July 2020 more than half of all the people on Earth use social media.” Its growth is moving in an upward trajectory. Numbers from DataReportal have found that an average of 1 million people a day have started to use social media for the first time since July 2019! When I get asked if social media is really necessary for one’s business, these are figures you can’t discount. You absolutely need to have a presence here to connect and build relationships with potential customers and keep returning customers coming back.

Chef Di and I go wayyyyy back. Many moons ago we first met when I was attending a private cooking lesson with her that a friend had set up. She recently came into my life again in her work with realtor, Dennis Hartley. We were Zooming and she said how familiar I looked. I was wracking my brain and then remembered the cooking class and I that had taught her niece and nephew back in the day. I told her how much I enjoyed the cooking class and my love of her recipes…a natural progression to highlight all of her fun endeavors she’s involved in.
