On A Roll
We have been on a roll of having dinner together as a family for several nights in a row, so many that I have lost count. I feel fortunate that we have each other, as many are by themselves right now. These dinners are allowing us to have laughs, some moments of silence and tears, discussions about the ups and downs of the day and reinforcing our nightly habit of a piece of Trader Joe’s dark chocolate for dessert. {Heart healthy, you know!}
The Great American Takeout
While 98% of our meals have been homemade, we have indulged twice in take-out. The first being Fresh Brothers and last night Bettolino Kitchen. Both experiences were awesome! Fresh Brothers has taken great precautions to have their in-store pick-up safe and clean. And who doesn’t love pizza and a fresh salad? If you are on their email list they offer daily coupon deals.
Dinner from Bettolino was pure heaven on earth! If you are local to the South Bay, I highly encourage you to give them a try. They are a family-owned business and are going above and beyond to make getting meals a breeze.

The Takeaway
Besides having a break from cooking and chowing down on superb food, it felt good to help a local business that is doing the best they can to make it right now. And really, that’s all any of us can do right now.
